i am once again confused.
Everyone’s against the wanna be’s and all the teenage shows like enforces on the “be yourself campaign”. Yeah, i kinda got the idea, just be yourself.
Then, i am introduced to a new concept. Be more like Jesus. How do we be more like ourselves and be more like Jesus at the same time!
Yes, i would certainly love to be myself, i cant stand people who try to be others. Purposely feigning pretense in acceptance towards others, or perhaps, act like them, to gain popularity. If you havent already known, i’m anti-norm. So, i’d be myself, and start something up myself, not follow everyone. I think its really dumb and boring to follow. but oh wells, cant judge everyone like that.
In church however, advocates being more like Jesus and less of oneself. If you haven’t realized that then welcome to the family. Leadership books teach us how to lead like Jesus, why Jesus made such a great influence. What makes a great leader from a leader. And so on…
So, is it a be yourself, or is it a be more like Jesus or is it, a major mental clutter in me.
